NeerShauchalay is a free, public-interest civic technology platform that maps public toilets and drinking water facilities across India. It is powered by OpenStreetMap data and community contributions.

The service is provided free of charge with no commercial intent. We do not sell advertising or user data.

By accessing or using NeerShauchalay (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and contributors.

You agree to use NeerShauchalay only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Submit false, misleading, or malicious spot data
• Spam votes or reports to artificially manipulate spot status
• Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload the service
• Use the API endpoints beyond reasonable personal use without permission
• Upload offensive, illegal, or irrelevant photos
• Impersonate other users or civic authorities

When you submit a spot, photo, vote, or report, you grant NeerShauchalay a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to display, store, and use that data to operate and improve the Service.

Civic location data (spot coordinates, type, description) you submit is treated as public-interest data and may be published under the Open Database License (ODbL) to remain free and open for civic use.

You are responsible for the accuracy of data you submit. Deliberate false reports may result in account suspension.

NeerShauchalay is a community-crowdsourced platform. We do not independently verify the accuracy, cleanliness, safety, or operational status of any listed facility.

Information on the map may be outdated or incorrect. Always exercise personal judgment when relying on the map, especially in emergencies.

We are not liable for any harm, inconvenience, or loss arising from reliance on information shown in the app.

NeerShauchalay application code is open-source. The NeerShauchalay name, logo, and visual design are the property of the NeerShauchalay project and may not be used without permission.

You may sign in via phone number OTP. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. We are not liable for unauthorized access caused by your negligence.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms without prior notice.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or availability.

In no event shall NeerShauchalay or its contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with use of the Service.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi, India.

We may revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
